Measuring
only 3.7” wide, 2.3” high and 1.2” thick and weighing a
mere 6.9 ounces, the efina T is currently one of the smallest
Advanced Photo System compact zooms equipped with a three
times zoom lens.

The
built-in 23mm-69mm zoom lens offers a full three times zoom
range between moderate wide angle and medium telephoto
(equivalent to a 29-87mm zoom range in the in 35mm format).
|
|
For
close-up photography, its zoom macro capability gives a
minimum focusing distance of 65cm (2.15 ft.) for a maximum
magnification of 0.11 times at the telephoto end.
|
|
The
efina T offers a choice of three different print format
selections. With a quick turn of the lever, the photographer
can select the desired picture format from "C"
(2:3), "H" (9:16), or "P" (1:3) to best
match their subject or situation. (C-Classic, H-High
Definition TV, P-Panorama).

|
To
keep accurate track of memories, the user can imprint the date
or time the photo was taken on the print. For special
occasions, the user can even add one of the 31 prerecorded
titles in 12 different languages. The date and titles are
imprinted on the back of the print, so as not to interfere
with the image pictured on the front.

No
complicated film loading process is required with the efina T.
To start shooting, all you need to do is drop the IX240
Advanced Photo System film cartridge into the camera’s film
chamber and close the cover. The efina T does the rest –
from advancing the film to the next frame to rewinding at the
roll’s end.
|
|
To
ensure the highest possible quality in the finished prints,
the efina T’s PQI (Print Quality Improvement) feature
automatically records the brightness value of the scene, the
use or absence of flash illumination and the direction of film
advance onto the magnetic coating on the back of each frame.
|
|
The
efina T allows you to change from one IX240 film cartridge to
another at any frame, allowing one specific cartridge to be
used for a particular subject – travel, business, holidays
or the kids for example.
|
|
Coupled
with the date and title imprinting feature, it makes it easy
to keep accurate track of important events and occasions.
|
|
The
efina T incorporates a high-precision passive five-point
autofocus system to capture the subject in sharp, crisp focus,
frame after frame. Its wide focus frame assures pinpoint focus
even when the subject is positioned off center. Its highly
reliable programmed auto exposure system accurately exposes
the subject even under difficult lighting conditions.

The
built-in auto flash automatically discharges when a subject is
in the dark as well as under backlit conditions. The red-eye
reduction function* provides a pre-flash light emission to
prevent the annoying effect of red eyes in your subjects.
|
|
The
flash also simplifies complicated flash techniques as daylight
sync flash and slow shutter sync flash. When the use of flash
is prohibited or when the photographer prefers to take
pictures with existing light, a flash-off mode is provided.
|
|
The
viewfinder zooms in and out to show the exact image field
corresponding to the selected focal length and even adjusts
the image field according to the selected print format (C, H,
or P). It also comes equipped with a built-in diopter
adjustment mechanism, allowing you to match the viewfinder
image to your eyesight.

|
Most
of the efina T’s modes and functions can be easily and
quickly set using a large mode dial positioned on the top
panel. This simple, direct operation system allows the
photographer to concentrate on the subject.
|
|
The
efina T’s remote control mode allows the user to release the
shutter from a distance after a three-second delay. Using the
handy infrared remote control (optional), the user can even
adjust the angle of view at three different focal lengths
(23mm, 42mm and 69mm). The built-in electronic self-timer
delays the shutter release by 10 seconds.

When
the efina T is left unused for three minutes with the power on
(or five minutes in the remote control mode), the zoom lens is
automatically retracted to a wide-angle position to protect it
from damage.
