Modern mass production cameras are made on assembly lines, with
very little hand labor - but repairs are all labor. The labor is the
same regardless of the value of the camera. That's why it's often less
expensive to replace a camera or projector than it is to repair it.
It's especially true for inexpensive compact cameras.
We can usually give you an approximate cost of
repair at our initial inspection, which is free.
We'll let you know in advance the exact cost if you decide to leave
a product for repair. There is an estimating fee - usually $15 - which
is applied to the cost of the repair if you approve the estimate.
The following prices are the averages for recent repairs:
| Compact autofocus, no zoom |
$63 |
| Compact autofocus, with zoom lens |
$85 |
| SLR, manual focus |
$92 |
| SLR, Autofocus |
$98 |
